Name That Tune Game Show
Welcome to the Videogame Name That Tune panel! Come and test your knowledge of game songs throughout the ages. Three contestants will be picked at random from the audience, competing for the chance to win various prizes. This will continue for several rounds, with different contestants. Contestants will be called up to the stage, and asked to choose from a number of different categories, and then choose the point value of the clue. The higher the point value, the more difficult the song, so choose carefully! Once the song starts playing, contestants will buzz in and try to name the game the song is from.
Correct guesses will add the point value of the clue to their score, while incorrect guesses will take those points away. Sample categories are things like “I Liked That Game Before It Was Cool!” (indie games), “The World Is Square” (Square Enix games), etc. Hints will be given if the contestants can’t guess in time, and afterwards, the audience is encouraged to shout out their answer.
Every so often, we’ll have intermissions where we’ll pose some deep cuts for the true game music heads, with small treats for those that correctly guess!
